Default TPS modification for 93 MS

so ive been looking around once I read the Ms manual and saw it mentioned adding/modding the tps for the 90-93 1.6L
everywhere I have found info mentions either getting a variable tps, or a linear tps from an automatic, but my questions is are these replacements necessary or just preferred? does the MS need a TPS or is it just best with one?

If I will need one, what are some cheap solutions? get a tps from a junked automatic 1.6?

thanks

MS does not *need* a TPS, but adding one can be useful for idle control, boost control, and acceleration enrichment.

Our red Miata is not running a TPS.

do you notice anything obvious by not running one? stumbling at idle, delayed acceleration etc?

I vote you not waste your time either. I have no TPS on mine and I don't plan to add one any time soon.
