yea thats the problem! The head was lifting, broke the dowel and crushed the headgasket!

yes, they come with correct tq spec now. dont know what it is (I use 65 ft. lbs.) , but word on the street is that instructions have been updated.

If I recall correctly, they reduced it down to 65 from 80.

OEM spec is 49 IIRC. ARP updated their kits about a year ago, dropped the published spec from 80 (wrong) to 65 (correct, and where it was circa 2010-2011). They also include larger washers than they used to.
