Default 1.8 T25 Drivers - Post your dyno graphs/BHP - Turbo Advice Needed

Hey Guys,

I just bought a 1.8 Turbo with a Garrett T25 charger, which will be running on MS2 with a FMIC and bigger injectors.

Unfortunately the manifold is knackered so I am having one made. This leaves me wide open on the flange....

Therefore I am wondering weather I should change the turbo to something like a TD04.

I am after 230-250bhp and will be doing quite a bit of track work with it so it needs to be a semi linear power delivery. Do you think the T25 I already have will be up to this or should I look at a change?

Its from a UK Rover 220 Turbo. It has M27 stamped on it but thats all I know really!

I think this is the same unit?

I found this info on it too:

Hi, here is Rover 220 turbocharger. Its T25 , but if i compared them with T25 from Nissan 200sx S13. Rover has smaller A/R of turbine(but turbine wheel have same size). R

over compressor is slightly bigger than the nissan, its around 41mm inducer compared to 39,5mm.

Geometry is also different. Rover has lower stock boost with more horsepower than nissan- Probably rover compressor is better. But rover unit has some physical differeces.

Okay, not the usual nissan S13 turbo, there are a LOT of 'T25' turbo's.

Someone who know how to guess a compressor map will chime in and ask you to take measurements or someone who knows this turbo will come in.

Sorry i cannot help further I only know the common nissan T25's.

Thanks Dann!

Do you think an S13 T25 would be capable of linear 230bhp results?

what A/R is your turbine? Please cease form quote BHP numbers, we measure wheel horsepower.

I guess I am after around 200-210whp then?

The turbine has A/R .48 stamped on it?

a .48 A/R T25 is going to struggle to make 210rwhp without a crap ton of boost, unless you dyno the car upsidedown. It'll make a great deal of low/mid torque and struggle to make power past 4-4.5K.

I think this is the MAP for the turbo on the car. Don't know if this will help at all?
