Backfiring on rev matching
Hey guys,
I've had this happen enough times now to call it a problem. While at the track coming into a slow corner off a high speed run I'll begin downshifting and rev matching a couple gears. Sometimes it works without any issues but other times I just get a load of backfire and the revs don't climb. What would this be caused by, too much fuel for transient throttle? It only happens at the track, never on the street. I haven't captured any logs while this is happening.
I'm only running 10psi, so I wouldn't think it's spark blowout. And throttle blips might ever only see 1-2psi.

Well, there is your problem. Turn it off and see what happens. I might not be right but when I've run NLS, if I don't rev just right and use the clutch just right, the ECU will still think the enigne is under load and activate NLS settings even when you're trying to heel-toe downshift. I don't exactly know how it works...hopefully someone else can explain it better. NLS is kinda fun in traffic.
