Default Can I remove the VVT thing on the front of the intake cam?

I am taking my head to the shop and I was going to remove the tin piece on the front so I can remove the broken H2O outlet. I can't get to the two little bolts behind the VVT cam gear.

Can I simply remove the 4 little bolts on the VVT cam gear and back it out, to get to the screws? Or will a giant spring pop out hitting my eye temporarily blinding me as all the parts fall across the garage floor, never to be put back together again :(

Yes, **** will fly out if you remove the 4 10mm bolts and none of the **** is replaceable inside the VVT actuator. Remove the 3 torx bolts and buy new ones if you strip them.
