Default Can I use an 01 MBSP with NA8 oil pan?

Can I fit a 01 MBSP with a NA8 oil pan? I am swapping a 96 engine with an 01 engine. I already have the 96 oil pan drilled and tapped for the turbo oil return and oil temperature sensors. It would be easiest if I could use the MBSP with my old oil pan.

Searching made it clear that you can swap the NB2 oil pan and MBSP to earlier 1.8 BPs, but I couldn't find anything about mixing MBSP / older oil baffle and oil pans.

You can, but you’ll waste a good bit of time machining the pan down. Just stick to one complete setup.

That's not worth doing at all. Ill just re-drill the 01 oil pan.
