I am switching to a Supermiata pulley and my rotating assembly was balanced all together (crank pulley, timing gear, crank, rods, pistons, flywheel, and clutch). I am thinking to maintain the setup balance I should send out the old and new pulley to be matched. Is there any reason to not?

Follow on question is there a good shop to send everything to? I don't have very many options on island to get this done.

 

i wouldn't worry to much about it, are you gonna rebalance stuff cause you need to change your clutch?

 

No, I want the crank pulley to have the same balance as the old one so everything status in balance.

 

Generally everything should be balanced to "zero". It's balanced as a whole, but the clutch assembly should be balanced to itself, same with the crank with rods and pistons, and same with the pulley. Bring it to your balance guy, but I'm guessing he won't need the old one, and just balance the new one.

 

Your pully is symmetrical and there for doesn't need to be balanced with the other components. It only needs to be checked to make sure it is in balance so it doesn't throw off the overall balance when installed. But unless you're turning a ton of rpms I wouldn't even have it checked.
