I don't have time to watch this right now, but in any event, I'm fine with my distilled+water wetter for now. I was just curious what the collective knowledge base had to say if there was real world experience.

To be fair, I haven't watched all the video's, but I believe he has done some actual testing to prove / disprove the claims that Evans makes about their product (He has a pile of videos and I don't have the time to watch them all). Sharing this more as another data point / devils advocate.

A guy around here runs it. My understanding is that the stuff is basically crap and all marketing. Also, as I understand, you can't run this stuff on the track because if you spill it, you're going to have one hell of a cleanup (and bill) on your hands.

I also misunderstand a lot

Not all are animal safe. There a 2 types of waterless coolant that they sell. One is ethylene glycol based the other propylene glycol. From what I remember ethylene glycol is the same as normal coolant and propylene glycol is food service grade - small amounts will not hurt you, but it is still not healthy. The propylene glycol is about 2x the cost and Evans recommends you contact them before using which suggests it needs special prep, it has lower efficiency, or both.

"NPG Waterless Engine Coolant: For racing venues that allow propylene glycol based coolants, but not ethylene glycol based coolants. Not for general use. Adaptive equipment may be needed for specific high performance applications. Call Evans Cooling Systems for further specifics regarding use of NPG."

I run the standard waterless coolant in my supercharged 00. I changed over when i built the engine. It does every bit as good as the normal coolant, but I have never tried to test the system pressure- i'll take their word. There is some discolroagtion of the coolant after a year of running it. I'd assume it is grime/residue left over from the old hoses and heater core - thought the system was cleaned and dried before adding.
