Default Fuel Pump No Go, But Why?

2005 Mazdaspeed Miata
This car has been hating me for quite a while and I have only been able to drive the car about 4 days (maybe 100 miles) since December. I need a car, I am sick of Murphy's Law kicking my ***.

I had my oil return line (this one> OEMoilCatchCanOilReturnLine Photo by 1okie1 | Photobucket) completely sever unknown to me and lost a quart of oil very quickly after doing an oil change. Over the course of a week, I didn't expect to lose any real amount of oil and spun a rod bearing in boost exiting a high G 270* sweeper. Shifted to 4th tracking out and the car died. Started back up but new engine time. This was December 2014. I find an engine ('04 BP4W, Deadbolt upgraded turbo, 99,xxx miles, fine compression) and install. Power steering delete and A/C delete happen in the process as well as an Adaptronic Select that I scored locally.

During the time of the swap (happened over two days, two weekends, at two different houses) the immobilizer was lost. Unfortunately for me, that Adaptronic I bought was from an early batch and still piggybacked to the factory ECU, so I had to upgrade to the standalone Select for $250 (not complaining, just explaining, new ECU is always nice). This should bypass the immobilizer. I mean, the factory ECU is null and void now so I do not believe this is the issue, especially since the car did run for two days on the new ECU, although very poorly due to a horrible map. I never exceeded 20% throttle, rarely over 5-10%.

The last time I drove the car, I was just cruising at around 45-50mph in 5th gear when the engine suddenly cuts out and I am left stranded. When I get the car home, I immediately notice the lack of fuel pump priming. Immediately, I do a little research and find that it is fairly common for these fuel pumps to die (chassis has 59,9xx miles) so I get one. I get a whole entire assembly that actullay has run this engine before in a past life. No good. Two nights ago, I replace the fuel pump relay underneath the dash, and no go. The relay has not been clicking the whole time, original one or new one. I replaced the injection 30amp fuse last night in the engine fuse box and nothing.

I'm working Mon-Sat, morning to night and the car is at a family member's house. Getting rides to deal with this is difficult, hoping someone can help me out here because I am stumped.

the ECU is not activating it. stop just replacing parts and fix your ECU.

Curious as to why it would just randomly decide to stop, after driving for two days?

Is you CEL coming on when you turn the key to the ON position? If no CEL or battery lights, it'll almost always be the EGI Main relay under the hood....the big green one. I've had this happen more than once.
