Thanks Jeff, noted. All surfaces will be cleaned and stoned before re-installation. Well the head won't be stoned, but cleaned at least.

As filthy as my car is, Curly's is clean. Rest assured everything will be immaculately clean when he puts parts back together. It's gotta be killing him seeing all the gunk and rust inside that motor. Forget clean enough to eat off of, his engine compartment rivals most operating rooms.

lol, thanks for the vote of confidence, although it's filthiness has been driving me crazy lately. I looked up while leaning over removing the head and saw all the dirt and dust under the windshield plastic trim from our last track day. I shivered. I also do not like how dirty the bottom of my intake manifold is. That is not acceptable.
