Default I made an oopsie but fixed it!

After installing the fan shroud on my radiator, I wired the fans backwards. Was watching the MS dashboard and count figure out why my temps were worse Since its fall I grabbed a leaf and found out exactly why.

Just wanted everyone to know I did this. I'm not afraid!

And now everyone who reads this will test their fans next time.

And this is how I went to the emergency room for the first time in 40 years of wrenching.

I was working on a 32 deuce coupe that had a fan wired backwards.
I didn't notice it on first start up and as the car came up to temp the fans came one.
It was too early for them and I reached up to feel the upper radiator connection.
I got too close to the fan that was PULLING air into the radiator.
The vacuum sucked my hand into the fan and it got two fingers of my left hand...

38 stiches and 6 weeks before the nerves started working again.
It was like sticking your hand into a food processor.

I am VERY aware of fan direction now.
And I am now afraid of fans.

How well something is learned is directly proportional to how much blood, money, or face was lost during the learning process...
