Jacking up the motor with a Jack to change motor mounts

I did mine at the same time as installing the turbo, only took about 1.5 hours to do both sides and was pretty easy compared to some on here. But I also did it sober and only cursed once, ha ha!

Side question-- how do you all jack up your cars without messing up your frame? I use a floor jack and bent my frame pinch points up a lot :(

I use a floor Jack too. I jut put it right where the stock Jack goes. I did bent the crap out of my frame rail tho. Now I have metal frame rails from flyin Miata so I can just Jack the car up right on them.

+1...put in my frame rails yesterday, and used them as jacking points when coming down off jackstands.

They're a little lower though, and require "lifting" car a little to get the jack out.

If you thread all 3 bolts into the block by hand a few threads then the other side through the subframe then repeat on the other side its not very hard. Tighten everything last when its all together.
