LFX: MV7 Donors?
I'm currently sourcing donor parts and I'm stuck on donor vehicles for compatible MV7 transmissions.
If anyone knows which models and years of which cars came with an MV7 that will bolt up to the 2015 Camaro engine, I'd be most appreciative.
Thanks!

Cadillac CTS 2008-2012
It may be on other Cadillacs, but I'm not sure. I had good luck finding a super low mile (~18k) one in Canada on ebay and have seen more there. They are pricey because of how rare they are. I paid $1,600 shipped ($200 in shipping).

Not sure if this helps: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aisin_AY_transmission
Unless you want to get one from Australia

Another good place to find them is Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market
I saw a couple on there this morning. Keep an eye on ebay and that site and you'll find one. Takes time to get a low miles one.

I ended up with an older MV7 from a 2008 CTS, mid 70K miles for $949 delivered from LQK. First they sent me an automatic trans that had been tagged wrong but then I got $100 refund and a 6 speed manual the next week. Still trying to get them to pick up the automatic. I am a little worried about the low gear ratio's. I watch the video's of V8 roadster's launching their LFX Miata or the Greek guy on "One Lap Hero's" and the shifts come so quick its like a dirt bike shifting. I am toying with the idea of putting the LFX bellhousing on a T5 trans. And having the Flywheel with a pilot bearing like the MV7 should have done. 100 years of pilot bearings being used on transmissions and some engineer thinks its suddenly unnecessary. The Camaro Forums are flooded with guys getting 20K miles on a clutch and the dealer says its a wear item that's not covered.

@LukeG: Thanks for keeping an eye out! I'm not rushing into the gearbox. Having the engine will allow a great deal of work to advance while I look for an MV7.
Ryan has been happy with his 3.42/MV7 combo. My usage is all track and autox so I suspect it will work for me.

Yeah, I went with a 3.42 as well based on Ryan's experience with it. The 3.42 G80's are a bitch to find with low miles too. I settled for a 56k mile one as that was the best I could find. Be sure to replace the axle seals, they had some issues on those diffs and are only about $30 to replace both.
