My 10 year old Mazda PCV was dumping boost into my crank case, so it was time to order a 323 one. The Mazda dealer didn't have the the GTX PCV in stock and wanted me to wait 3 weeks or some BS to get one. I walked across the street to the Toyota dealer and named the first turbo thing I could think of off the top of my head. (1995 Supra Turbo) $6 in stock.



Its all metal and seems remarkably well built (for a pcv) It seals up tight using only my lung power. I stopped by the O'Reiley and bought a "Toyota" labeled valve cover grommit from the "HELP" section that looked like it had the right size hole in it. Turns out it fit perfectly. I added a 90 and a brass barbed fitting and some zip ties. This has been working well on the street with no issues at 6-8psi. Dipstick stays in now.

If anyone cares, I can get part numbers.

I have access to a Moroso Air/Oil Separator (PN 85474) that belongs to a friend with a stalled build. I'm going to steal it and run it on the drivers side in an attempt to keep oil vapor out of my Rotrex while not running VTA. Will report results.

 

I use the stock pcv and a check valve.

 

I figured you might pop in to say that

Toyota PCV + HELP grommit was less $$ than oem Miata PCV from the dealer. I didn't have a check valve in hand and I wanted to get the job done. I'm not saying check valve is not a viable option (because obviously it is) I'm just offering up another solution.

Figured I'd post the above as a search reveals people talking about the Supra PCV, but no one with results. I have been running this on the street for 2-3 weeks and at my levels, it seems to be working great. Hopefully someone else can use this info now.

Is the MSM or GTX PCV not a decent solution for this?

EDIT: Derp. A local dealer told me the MSM part number for the PCV valve is identical to any other BP PCV. Anyone care to confirm this?
