the FSM says nothing other than showing that you remove the 3 flat head screws on the cam nut cover and not the four that hold the two halves of the actuator...

I have already talked to him about it. I honestly never took mine that far apart and never hope I do.

If you pull the big inner piece out it get's even more interesting.

Mazdacomp diagram shows nothing, just that it costs nearly $600. Oopz.

all i know is that spring pin thing pokes into the fixed portion to lock it down when there is no oil pressure in the chambers.

I've got pix somewhere when I took mine apart to study it.
I'll have to go find em...

In the very first picture - was the inner spinny part never separated from the outer part?

I've got one off of a motor that cocked a lifter with just a few thousand miles. It was Andy Hollis' CSP engine. Apparently they aren't made to rev to 11!

Shoot me a fair price and I'll send it out. Only catch is that I won't be back in Dallas, and won't be able to ship until November 13th.
