I chose to build my 1.6 Vs swapping in a 1.8 for several reasons.

1. I didn't want to have to go out and buy a new manifold and downpipe.

2. Im not after really huge HP numbers (maybe 300 someday). I can live with the HP difference between the 1.8 and 1.6. I could easily just turn up the boost a couple more PSI.

3. Call me silly but I like the extra room there is with the 1.6 in the bay. Oil filter is much easier to get to. Theres ALOT more space between the fans and front of the engine.

3. Probably not the best reason, but I dont have to deal with any of the EGR bs.

hellz yeah! im almost done with a 5-hour gig which is paying for this engine entirely

Nice. Low CR on that motor. Better stuff alot of boost into it.
