Default Quick intake mani question

Most of you know I have a gutted 99 intake mani.

I am going back to the stock one.

I want to know:

Do I leave the flappers stock working on the vaccum or do I leave them in the "open" position?

Thanks..

HA ha ahh my same old claim in regard to wanting my car to spool up a bit faster.

I will say that my power held well to redline. Much lesss dip than it had before I did this, but I would like to see my car at full ftlbs a bit soon. thats the only reason.

If I was doing time attack or timed events I would leave it alone, but I need some earlier ftlbs. So many people I compete with have so much more power than I do I can sacrifice a little up high to have it more solid down lower.

I hope to maybe someday try the new BEGI mani

If you still have the stuff in place to actuate the flappers, then hook it up. If not, put them in the opened position (no vacuum)

FTB

I will have a fully stock unmolested 99 intake to put on. So it would have the vaccum controls..

You are claiming to strap in on as is and just let it ride??

IIRC yes, you'll want to hook it all up as it was stock to improve low/mid-range.

If it sucks, I can allways take it back off.
