Default Regarding the VS-855 or VS-949 valve springs

To start off this is pretty much an announcement, but if you have some input on this, speak up! I would like to know!

The well known Volvo valve springs (VS-855) are no longer carried by summit. I contacted summit racing about these and they said "We no longer carry that part number. The closest match we have to that part number you suggested can be seen at the link below.

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/slp-vs-949/overview/

Thank you for your business."

Now checking those out the specs are different but very similar as far as I can tell. (Little experience) I haven't had a chance to compare these hands on yet so I'm curious if this will be the next option. If it's a fit... how do they perform?

Does anyone have some experience using these? Thoughts? It's still be possible to get the old VS-855 if other sellers still have them in stock.

It so happens that I'm building a head... among other things. Haven't decided what to get. If I do get these I will update here to let you know. But I'm kinda hoping some1 else will beat me to it <3

Not really the answer you're looking for, but Jeg's shows the 855s with a tentative in stock date of 1/08/2019. You may luck out and get the ones you originally want from another vendor.

I have a new set of 16 VS855s I'd be happy to sell you right now if you don't want to wait

Sure man, what does it take for you to ship that set to The Netherlands?

I checked in with their customer support, they felt this date was realistic.
