I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this and all, but I figured I'd ask to maybe save getting a new head gasket.

I have assembled my motor and torqued down the head, but havent even isntalled the motor yet.

Now, I need to pull the head off and when I go to put it back on, is it safe to reuse the head gasket or is it like a once-torqued its no good type thing?

 

You'll be fine, should not be an issue.

 

Are you saying it was new as of just before you torqued it down? You should be fine.

 

Yes, brand new fel pro just pulled it outa the package, put it on the block, put the head on and torqued it down, havent touched since..

Thanks guys I guess I'll try to "old" one and hopefully have no problems.

 

shouldn't be an issue whatsoever, just torque it down to the same spec and use the same recommended sequence...
