RRFPR Which one?
I know it sounds noobish of me but the previous owner put some dumb fpr on it that's absolutely pitiful turned the base pressure to 80psi!!!! Yes 80 so I wanna fix it but I wanna replace this before going piggyback or standalone.
"Someone cut my leg off. But my band-aid is bloody. Which band-aid do you recommend?"
Go to the emergency room.
"But the band-aid that I had is bloody, which new one should I get?"
Megasquirt: $250
New 1.8 shortblock: $700
You decide which is cheaper, OP.

You know most people at this point would flip their lid but I'm going to ask this question. You guys think I should stick with this Fpr that likes to fluctuate the fuel pressure between 20-40psi at idle and 40-60 while cruising and get a mega squirt first so I work around my problem and my motor can blow with standalone because I listened to people on the forums. Can I not just get an answer to my question so I can then go buy the mega squirt you guys refer to? There are reasons why I need to replace this which is why I asked the question. This car was thrown together with hopes, dreams, a little prayer, and duct tape I'm trying to remove all of that from the equation.
The answer: STOCK regulator + PROPER EMS.
Done.
Until you're making well over 300 you don't need any regulator besides stock.
But if you still must have one, and think $200 is **** bricks territory, then refer to the previous post of: "if that's too much for you then don't bother turboing a car".
