True, but find me one WITH an IM. The one that is laying around at Deijne Japanse auto-onderdelen is without IM.

FM has some used IM's, that's where I got mine along with the head.

 

Nah, never mind. It's not worth the trouble at this moment. Would require new head, IM, valves, shims, cams and all the rest of that crap. Meaning $$$ and I'm building a MaX5 on the side...

Update:
Valves in #3 badly worn. Probably cause: overheating earlier this year.
Now replacing all intake valves and seats where needed. Also fixing a water passage at the rear of the head due to leakage before.

No wear on anything else whatsoever: cams, cylinder walls, etc. Everything is 100%. I love this engine!

 

Good chance for a VVT head, you mean.

Of course, I'm biased because I have a bunch of them I'm trying to sell. :-)

You're right, these motors last forever, even when you kill little pieces.
