SR20DET SWAP?? needs??
hey im thinking about doing a sr20 swap on my miata!:bowrofl: i have no clue on what i need to do or anything, i need some advice before i bit off anything i cant chew! HELP!!

Seriously though, mate that was the WRONG first post. there is no easy conversion and no good reason to even do one. My advice is to post back here with a well written (correct grammar) explanation of the performance you want out of your car, and THEN listen to the advice you are given. This 'sr20 would be jdm as fuck yo, especially with vtec lolzor' attitude is frowned upon here. Here is my advice: 1: Don't attempt to perform an engine swap on any vehicle if you have no clue about anything. 2: Don't attempt any engine swap while you are in a big hurry. If you don't even have time for punctuation and capitalization, it's unlikely you have time to do a thorough job of splicing two wiring harnesses together. 3: If you want to install a Datsun engine in something, buy a Datsun. 4: See #1. All you'll need is: An engine hoist An SR20 (prices are lower after Race Wars) Stock Miata Tranny - will mate to SR20 motor A wiring harness off a 2JZ-GTE Mugen Motor Mounts from an S2000 Remove your motor first - take pictures and I'll help guide you through the install. |
