So here's the story. When I did my initial install, I did not realize that my fuel injectors were the wrong plug style. So I picked up pigtails from Napa and cut down spade terminals and fit them into the original fuel injector plug wires after removing the plugs themselves. And rather than use heat shrink tube because I gasoline still in the area, I used self vulcanizing rubber tape but it turns out that that did not hold up well enough to use that high-temperature environment. Plus, I may have jammed the taped up splices into a tight spot because when I pulled the fuel harness the rubber tape was worn away in a spot and I was getting an intermittent short.

So, I ordered the proper denso connectors and created proper denso to EV1 conversion pigtails. I did the install tonight and other than a fuel map that has to readjust because it was compensating for a shorting injector it ran nice and strong.
