Default To swap or not to swap

So I picked up a MSM with ITB. I'm on the fence of swapping it out for the Skunk2 manifold because there are hoses every where. What do you guys think? Pros? Cons?

I also plan to swap out the turbo to the TSE kit in the future.

TIA!

if it is running well I dont see why you get rid of a incredible setup for some cheaper manifold. ITB is what alot of people would prefer but just dont want to spend the $$$

Pretty cool, but all those hoses everywhere would give me nightmares. I would imagine that it’s also a pain to tune

I agree! I like simplicity.

You can easily clean up that mess of hoses. If it were me, I would keep in a heartbeat. Of coarse, I am partial.

Could you you tell us more about the itbs? How does it drive?

Im sure someone would buy that ITB setup for more than what the skunk2 manifold would cost. I would do it for that reason alone. Youre not going to lose any power, you main even gain a little.

miata2fast: ITB are from AE101 with Techno Tuning Adapter. The car drives pretty good as it was previously on BEGI reflashed ecu.I just recently installed megasquirt and ID1000, in the process of trying to get a proper tune to get the car running better.

Full Tilt: I'm still on the fence of either S2 or keeping ITB. LOL! I should try to do a hose and wire cleanup one day.

Have you ever driven a throttle body per cylinder on a Miata?

I have. It didn't impress me whatsoever. But then I'm also partial. Partial to parts that work and are good bang-for-buck

But seriously: he's losing torque with those short runners. And not gaining power. I mean it probably does make more peak than the oe vtcs mani, but that's just a shameful comparo. Oh and has a ton of points for potential failure. Oh and I've yet to see someone tune an ITB miata that ran flawlessly in all conditions and didn't have to make excuses
