Default Timing/idle issues

Built 1.8 in a 97m, 84.5mm weisco 8.5:1 pistons, k1 rods, boundary pump, qmax reroute. Fresh build. Slapped everything back together and my idle wouldn't drop below 1100 with the screw shut completely unless I retarded timing well beyond 0@tdc. Grounding in the diag box actually increased idle on the old throttle body, swapped throttle bodies, so now on the new one it made no change to the idle. The engine then idled at a blonde one under 1k rpm without adjusting the idle screw or timing from the old body, so recheck timing, it's way retarded now, advance timing back to 1 mark at ten, one mark at tdc, and the CAS is now fully maxed out, but it's idling fine, ran great, no knock I could hear or sense. Go to fire it up today, sumbitchll idle at 1900rpm.... What the hell?
