I do not doubt that there have been many attempts. I am just saying until some company is willing to show me proof of their cams working, I will not be dropping a grand on each cam. If the choice is drop 2grand on the Tomei cams on ebay today, or wait 6 months till TSE releases theirs and has proof that they work, it is a no brainier to me.

I believe what Ben is saying is that there have been a lot of custom ground cams for VVT cars, and you wont hear a lick about them because they're hiding in some racer's hero engine, and said person doesnt want the competition to know what they're running.

The only BP engine builder I talked to about custom cams is not well respected here at MT.net.

They have a before and after comparison on Tomei's japanese website. If u use google chrome with auto translate its not too hard to find. The numbers arent super impressive. But I havent compared it with other cams and from memory its a pretty stock set up.

If you want to get really fancy you should see the price tag of Toda cams for miata...
