Default Where is the best place to mount a knock sensor on the 1.6?

I want to mount a knock sensor to my 1.6. I have one on hand (one of two from a 2.8l Audi V6) that looks sort of like a really thick washer. It can be mounted with an 8mm bolt. I'm wondering where Mazda put the knock sensor on the later 1.8 engines and if I can mount the one I have in a similar location.

TIA

Knock Sensor MOUNT

Adaptor to allow a knock sensor to be attached to the engine block. Requires a hole with a 10x1.25 thread, such as the motor mount bolts. A 8x1.25 bolt will be required to fit the sensor to the mount (not included). May not be compatible with all knock sensors.

Included with our knock sensors.

Thanks but I don't think that helps me. I already have a sensor which only needs a bolt. I just need to decide where to mount it.
Ideally it mounts to the block itself somewhere between cylinders 2 and 3, but short of tapping a hole in the block I don't see any obvious way to do that. Hence my question about where Mazda mounted theirs.

Mazda didn't start mounting knock sensors until '99 I believe, thus the FM mount. The '99 1.8 block has the knock sensor mounted in the block right near the oil pressure sending unit.
Your 1.6 block has no accomodation for a knock sensor. Use the FM mount.

I used the FM mount Scott supplied me. Put in one of the AC bracket holes for the moment

Find out where the B6T knock sensor is mounted. It came in the 323 GTX, Ford Laser in
Australia, and the Mercury Capri XR2 in the US. The B6 is the same block but I dont know if that particular boss is tapped or not.

Optimal location for knocks sensors based on what I've read, is as close to the crank center line as possible, and as far away from the front (pulleys/idlers) as possible. I'm using the FM mount too- it's simple yay.
