Question VVT engine - Oil temp sender + Oilcooler adapter with thermostat... How do I do this?

Hey guys,

in preparation of a slight engine performance update in my TrishaMxMillan-project - going Rotrex on that one (Trisha's Blog (MX-5 Resurrection) | How to resurrect a rotten MX-5) I just received a nice Mocal oilcooler with an adapter plate with integrated thermostat.

Now as I also want to monitor my oil temperatures - do you have an advice for me, where I could simply mount my temp sender (VDO gauge). On my turbo-car I have a sandwich plate for the sensors (stacked with the oilcooler adapter- but this car (1,6 B6 Euro-NB doesn't have the OEM oil-cooler like the 1.9 cars)

I don't want to stack three of the sandwich/oilcooler plates (and I am not sure this would be working)...

How did you do, how would you do it?

I really appreciate your help!
Thanks!

Is the motor out of the car? Tap the oil pan above the drain plug for oil temperature.

Welches Scheinwerfer hast du? Die sehen sehr gut aus.

No engine is in the car (and will hopefully stay there for a while)...

On my car (1.8 VVT) I run a sandwich plate for oil temp/pressure. I am not currently running an oil cooler, but I have test-fit an oil cooler adapter plate on top of the existing one, and I was still able to get the filter on and off.
