Default Req: 2nd opinion during BEGI-S install (INSERT HELP)

Hi all,

I'm a few hours into my BEGI-S install on my 94 1.8. The O2 was a pain to get off, other parts went fine.

Just wanted to have a 2nd opinion on:
a) Is my oil feed on the right spot?
b) Is the _the_ place for the oil drain or am I off?

Thanks all!

From the picture you didn't post, I'd say the oil feed looks money.

Feed looks right...

Drain, not sure what you mean, are you talking about the little dot on the pan?
If so, you need to go a little higher.

if he has A/C (and he's just removed it for the install) it's not going to fit if the drain is much higher.

As a quick note, please remember not to put that bracket on the metal water tube between the manifold and the head.

Good point. If your keeping your a/c put the bracket back on and make sure you get your spot right. You can only do it once.

Must be Friday then

I don't have A/C so I could go higher. I did mean the blanc dot, yes.
What are the pro/cons or does it not really matter as long as I'm at an 90* angle?

Thanks all!

This is the inside off the oil pan... The left top side is the transmission side.
The baffle inside the oilpan is not in its correct location...It has to be more to the left.
If you can avoid hitting the baffle you are in the right spot.

per FM instructions 2 inch below the screws off the oilpan.

Here is mine...

BTW the drainside (lowest point) off the oil pan should be enough to hold the 3.5 liters off oil.

(here is the 1.6 HKS oil drain, NOT A JOKE!!!)
