can I get a 1/2" to 1/8" npt adapter?

Default can I get a 1/2" to 1/8" npt adapter?

At least, I think the begi EGR port is 1/2", maybe 1/4". Stephanie?

Basically I'm looking for an adapter which is 1/4" npt thead on the outside, 1/8" on the inside so I can screw in my greddy egt probe. Any ideas?

bingo. I found that but need it in steel, dog. Can anyone confirm the thread I need for the begi manifold? I really think the greddy EGT bung is 1/4", even though the manual says otherwise.

Actually, yes. I'm in the deathstar, my celly doesn't work and there's some hotspot issue so my office wireless doesn't work either. Its kind of cool though because I don't have to talk to any retards today.

The EGT probe is probably 1/8NPT, all of them I've seen are. If you can't find the adapter you need, you could buy a plug to fit in the EGR and then tap it for the EGT probe.

1/2" to 1/8" I was looking for one when I was building a pressure tester for my gas line out to my garage. Couldn't find one. Ended up doing 1/2" to 1/4", then 1/4" to 1/8".

EGR is 3/8 NPT. We have brass reducer fittings.

So a brass fitting installed into the log manifold won't melt? I had my manifold drilled for the 1/8" EGT probe but decided I don't want to chance putting a probe pre-turbo in case it comes apart and flies into the turbo-I was just going to plug with brass but now I'm looking for a 1/8" iron plug instead. ?

Brass has a higher melting point than exhaust gas can provide. The difference is within 200C I think.

I may just do that with the plug I have in th egr hole...the hotel is going to love the guy who takes the manifold and turbo off his car in the parking lot. I wonder if a vacuum would suck the metal shavings out through the little, freshly tapped hole? lol

Which cylinder is the hottest on a 99 motor with a coolant reroute? Hopefully none.
