downtime this morning
I know it's been slow as ***** today, I finally heard back from the host, this is a quality host

The database server that your database is hosted on, ---.pair.com, has
been unusually busy which is probaby contributing to the lag that you are
experiencing. With your permission, we would like to move your database to
a quieter server. This will not cause any downtime to your site as we
will simply create a copy of your database on the other server, with
usernames and passwords intact, and then you can change your scripts and
import the data at your leisure. We will not disable the current database
until we hear from you that this has been completed. Please let us know
how you would like to proceed.
