<p>MiataTurbo is the first test site for an update to vBulletin with several new features. Please report any feedback or issues with any of these in this thread.<br /><br /><strong>CKEditor with User Tagging</strong></p><p>So we now have a new text editor enabled as an option for testing. If you go to User CP&nbsp;&gt; Edit Options &gt;&nbsp;Message Editor Interface and change it to the Full CKEditor Editing.&nbsp;</p><p>This editor can understand BBCode and work similar to the old one but the source view is html and most html formatting options can be used. Copying and pasting from things like a pdf or word document will be&nbsp;able to match formatting as well.&nbsp;Normal editor shortcuts like CTRL+B for Bold, CTRL+U for underling, etc.&nbsp;now work. There is also a &quot;table&quot; option to insert a table.&nbsp;This editor also allows user tagging which means that using &quot;@&quot; and typing a minimum of 3 characters will bring up a username dropdown list to tag another user.&nbsp;The user will get a PM notification and a new tab on the user profile will keep track of all threads they have been mentioned in. Notifications need to be manually turned on right now with this setting under vBoptions:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="3" style="background-color:rgb(223, 230, 238); color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:verdana,geneva,lucida,lucida grande,arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:11px; line-height:normal; width:100%"> <tbody> <tr> <td>You can choose to receive a Private Message Notification every time you are tagged in other users' posts.</td> </tr> <tr> <td>X Receive a Private Message Notification each time I am tagged</td> </tr> </tbody></table><p>There is an udpate coming to turn notifications on for everyone who has PMs enabled but we have it defaulted to off for early testing.<br /><br /><br />&nbsp;<strong>Reply All to Private Messages</strong><br /><br />There is now a Reply to All button for private messages. We are working to update the button design to match the existing buttons but we will have to deal with blue button for now.&nbsp;</p><p><img alt="" src="https://i.imgur.com/D9vEgZU.png" style="height:117px; width:307px" /><br /><br /><strong>Content Embedding</strong><br /><br />Our latest update to the media embedding feature will allow for the following types of media embedding:Vine, Instagram, Facebook posts and video, Twitter, Google Maps&nbsp;</p><p> </p><p><strong>Current Bugs</strong><br /><br />Not really a bug but the editor is WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) so it shows&nbsp;full images when inserting an image URL and can be hard to navigate with several large images if not in source mode.&nbsp;</p><p>Image resizer does not work on images inserted through the new editor. Update to the resizer is coming to fix this.</p><p>Chrome/Firefox&nbsp;spell check does not recognize the text editor unless in source mode. Fix in progress.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Some general embed features in html are disabled for security concerns.&nbsp;</p><p>But most formatting type stuff should work.&nbsp;</p><p>I am getting strange quote spacing issues and have the guys looking into it now</p>

On an iPhone 5c, trying to use the table feature results in displaying just the upper left third of the box.<br />There is no way to close it besides going to the previous screen.

Some of that should be hidden from mobile view and we are working on adapting the tables to fit in a mobile screen. I'll let the team know. Thank you!

Can we get some HTML5 YouTube embedded video support?

Looking into that today, should be able to update the youtube embed to handle that.

Will tagging replace props? Or is that temporary?

Props was a great way to show good and bad posters. Why is it gone?

I thought props was hokey at first, but grew to really appreciate them. +1 to comments above.

That was the first thing I notices about the "updates" other than @aidandj tagging me like 6 times. I also miss the fake internet points :( For all the same reasons listed above.

I didn't even notice it til I saw everyone complaining about it.

<p>Whats up with the lack of communication between the people running the site and the users. Is there some background communication going on between the admins and the IB people? (@Braineack, @shuiend?) Or are they just ignoring this? It seems like they just pop in every once in a while.</p>

IB uses mt.net as sort of a test site for changes and such. Sometimes mods are alerted to changes that are coming up, sometimes they are not. We get used as a test site because from what I am told we actually have decent mods who communicate with the IB staff. Sometimes the techs at IB just fuck up because they are stupid and we have to let IB know there are problems. We have the grumpy cat up besides "My Posts" because they fucked up once and Nolan had to go in and fix some shit.

Since all of you gays are up in arms about props instead of getting married to each other I talked to Nolan about it. The plugin that did it was insecure and was getting hacked on several of their other forums. So they removed it to get rid of the vulnerability and are currently looking for a better way to do it. The best that they can do at this moment is a "thanks" button of sort. Would having that appease the masses, or do you all really want to give negative props to newbs?
