You do any diving or snokeling while you were there? Go to any smaller islands? Amazing water, fish & coral there. Thailand is our favorite vacation spot. Love the people, the sights and the nature. I could easily see retiring there.

Excuse my innocence and ignorance. I actually went to Thailand for the food, culture and nature, not the hookers and blow.

I'm pissed that I missed watching a local Muay Thai tournament. It was either the Muay Thai or the Table Tennis Expo lol - I figured I could pay the same $65 and watch MMA at the HP Pavilion here. Can't say the same about the Cirque de Pusée.

However, I did get in some scuba diving, a kayak tour, a beach tour (the beach in The Beach with Leonardo DiCrapio), and a visit to the famous Ayutaya temple and the Grand Palace (stunning!); and stayed at a fabulous 5-star Marriot resort for free. And ate like a pig - best cuisine in Asia!

P.S. Scuba in the Philippines is better and cheaper, though Thailand was very good.
