number 2 plug looked a little scetchy. It had a small reddish dot on the eletrode tang. I've never seen this before. Perhaps it's just the race gas. No other problems found. Battery looks to be fully charged. Cross my fingers.

While the instructions specify that you don't need the oem spring shims. I found that in order to get proper installed height ans seat pressure the oem shims were needed on both of my project heads.

How would you treat the deep gouges/casting flaws on the high side radius ? Smoothing them would direct flow into the back of the valve. I've never epoxyed in the bowl area and I don't know if it'd hold this near to the seat (due to heat?). To weld up, you'd need to remove the seats. What have you done in this area?
