Pre-Sequel is growing on me now that i'm getting used to the low-grav stuff.

Game seems a little more "frantic" than either of the previous games. Not necessarily all the time... but when you get into an area that you have to clear out.... you have MANY THINGS TO CLEAR OUT. I swear i've been pitted against mobs of 30 "Skavs" (space bandits) at once and it gets pretty sketchy.

Guns are starting to get interesting. There's a cool machine in the game called "The Grinder" that lets you "grind" 3 weapons in exchange for one better weapon.

We're seen here getting ready to grind for Legendaries.





I'm running as Wilhelm The Enforcer. You might remember him from the first half of Borderlands 2 where he probably wrecked your **** a time or two. A huge man-cyborg thing. His middle tree has a few cybernetic enhancements. I'm rolling around now with robot legs so i can sprint while shooting, a robotic punching arm that does enough melee damage that i can one-punch explode pretty much anyone. Literally... explode. And when my shield goes down, i sprout a huge turret from my right shoulder and obliterate everything in my path. Kindof cool.

The funny part is that the more "enhancements" i get, the more my voice turns robotic.

 

Just finished the first play through, completed all side missions, and defeated both raid bosses. (Solo. The Sentinel in raid boss form solo was BRUTAL.)

Level 31 Wilhelm, ****'s starting to get interesting. The sheer amount of damage i do and the "fail-safes" i have built in with my skills tree (Sprouting turret + 80% health and shield regen upon brink of death with a 25 second cooldown) means i'm becoming very tank-like.

Starting True Vault Hunter Mode playthrough this week. Trying to max level before the expansions start coming out, and want to be geared up as well as i can.

 

Is this the pre sequel now?

 

I dunno. I could probably make a new thread. I'm just using this as "The Borderlands" thread.

I'm not done with BL2 yet.

 

Nevermind on "i'm a motherfuckin' TANK."

Game got REALLY hard right around halfway through the story. I died enough yesterday i went from $500k to about... $4k.

Leveling up really fast, though. Went from 31 to 38 in one day. (Though i did sink like... 8 hours into it.)

They just released the "Doppelganger" class, where you play as one of Jack's body doubles. Looks kindof fun. If the first DLC isn't out by the time i level cap my Enforcer (50 for now), i'll start a Doppelganger.

 

Nobody else playing this i guess?

I have a level 60 Enforcer (Wilhelm) and a Level 60 Doppelganger (Jack.)

Just started a 3rd character last night because i was bored. Lady Aurelia The Baroness, sister of Sir Hammerlock.

She's hysterical. Super snooty aristocrat voice, great commentary.

Zarpedon was ranting about something early in the game, and Aurelia asked Jack: "Who is that? She sounds like she eats with her hands."

New expansion is SUPER weird. Like... what drugs were they doing when they came up with this, weird.

I'm floored by this thread. My youngest son is one of this game's programmers

i never thought there would be so many guys in mt.net playing it.

 

Can he hook me up with the PS4 pack? I'd like to move to a PS4, but these are really what i play 80% of the time and i'm a little salty that i have to pay for the games again even before all the DLC has even been released that i already paid for.

 

I just sent him a message asking him to come to mt.net with my password and read this thread.

LOL! I wasn't really expecting anything out of it. At least this way i'll be able to thank for helping make some of the best games i've EVER played.
