idk about that, there are plenty of good RPGs with pretty simple menus, and they seem to be getting more streamlined looking as time goes by.

How the dick do you play an RPG on a console without the interface becoming hopelessly cluttered with GUI elements or super menu based? I mean you need at least 20 buttons and a pointing device to have an effective RPG.
I have never been able to really get into any RPGs on PC. And I think the reason is because you are at a desk. It takes the fun out of it. Some of my favorite RPG moments are sitting on the couch or somewhere confortable while playing. It was more like a movie that I got to control. Where as at a desk, you can't really relax. |
I really want Forza. I played 4 constantly with all my friends and guys I work with. Every monday we would pick a car class and restriction, like FWD, 80s or gayest car (I built a rainbow prius that had two hooked male symbols and said super gay on it, started with a miata but my friends know I like them and thought itd be too obvious), and then we would race at night on Thursdays, and 3 or 4 times a week a handful of us would get on race, bullshit, play playground games.
Ive played lots of RPGs for many, many hours (I can think of a handful of games i have 200 hrs in), but played Forza 4 more than probably all but 1 or 2 other games. Shit we even played Horizon, everyday at work, I'd have to hear, "I destroyed your ghost on X course." We had so much fun racing each other or even our ghosts. Shit I got a few times into the top 100, because everyday we were one upping each other by a second or a few tenths. I cant bring myself to buy a XBO even though I loved my 360, but I dont know If I can do without forza 5. Especially after all this talk of Driveatars. Where your driving style will show up on others games, Id love to be playing single player and have to play against my aggressive-corner cutting friends. |
1: Constantly bitch and moan about how trading in used games to Gamestop is a ripoff, the secondary market for used games is worthless, etc.
2: Get all butthurt when it is suggested that a new console might not support the concept of used games. |
I'm lost.
Either way another jab at the always connected part of xbone... There is a large military gaming community. They definitely don't always have internet. Check out this interview... the CEO says get a 360 if you don't have internet lol. It's like they don't want to sell it: |

Ive known several game stop employees, my girlfriend was once an assistant manager of one when she was in highschool. A lot of time goes into dealing with used equipment and games, then on top of that a lot of the stuff never will get sold again (go to any gamestop and ask how many used copies of COD MW2 that have). Not to mention there is a big problem with employee theft. The point is, there are a lot of costs associated with it. Its is idiotic to think they could give people what their used games are worth and still manage to resell them. Youre paying for convenience. Gamestop doesnt rip people off. If people are willing to pay the price, then that is what the shit is worth. Thats how economics works. |
I just read that ps4 is going to be mouse/keyboard compatible? Great move.. makes me consider one.

As we have learned with the ex-box they don't always bring good freatures to the next console. I will probably play with my gaming keyboard and mouse if I decide to get any FPS for the PS4. It's gonna be sweet playing on a 100+ inch screen from my couch.
Love that the PS4 controller has an audio out port for headphones hahah. I know some older consoles, had this, but still cool of them to use it. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1371078749 The speaker on the controller is interesting too. |

I think you can play some games on PS3 with mouse/keyboard, but others have it disabled. Id imagine they did that so you didnt have an unfair advantage in BF2 or cowaduty.

Why would it be unfair. I'm sure those people that have ps3s also have computers made in the last decade that came with usb mouse and keyboard.
Prediction: Microsoft isn't going to shoot itself in the foot. They're not idiots. |

Look at history for you answer. Or even recent history. Vista? 8?

I never used to be a pc gamer at all. Never made sense that I would constantly have to worry about the hardware being good enough. A bit over 2 years ago I built my first pc. Not too crazy, amd 4core o/c'd to 4.2ghz, 6750 gpu, 4gb ram, liquid cooled. The first game I played was Bioshock. The graphics compared to it on the 360 didnt even compare.
The new graphics capabilty and hardware in the new consolesmare impressive. Pc's been capable of that for a while. Plus in a few years when I want more gpu, I'll upgrade my sli 560's and keep pushimg that graphics capability. Plus, after using a mouse and keyboard I cant use a controller, too slow. That being said I will get a ps4... I want Kingdom Hearts and FF XV. |

In the end, the PS4 costs what 1 of my video cards cost. Soooo yea. |
