I played CS 1.3 -> 1.6, did cal/ogl leagues and went to 1 CPL in Dallas.

Still feel burnt out lol.

As much as I love CS:GO, I just cant play it anymore. The matchmaking is lousy with hackers and it takes the fun out of the game.
Ill never forget the early days. So many good comp matches.

 

Hacking seems way down now compared to like a month or two ago. Silver Elite here.
Did anyone else get completely fucked by that patch last night? I crashed out 4 times in 3 rounds the first match I joined after updating and I finally gave up. No idea how long the ban is. I wasnt the only one though. By the time I gave up like two other people on each team had come to the same conclusion as me.

 

I've been bouncing around Nova 2-3. I dont play enough to move up from there.

Last I played was a few month ago and every other match would involve some kind of hacking. Wall hacking, aimbot toggling, or even people DOSing the server to exploit the lag to their advantage.
From what Ive heard the DOSing is still a big problem.

 

omg I used to love wallhacking CS--they still haven't put a stop to it?

I can't even bad mouth 12yo kids on Starcraft2 without getting temp banned.

 

Master Guardian 2. Always queue with a full lobby, and really don't run in to (at least blatant) hackers often. Once every 10 games?

I havent been in a DDOS'ed server in a while. I think just recently valve must have taken on the backlog of hacking reports and banned a shitload of people and done some ranking readjustment. I'd be slogging along at sliver 2 for like forever and then the hacking started to get mega shitty a couple months ago and I stopped playing. I picked it up like the start of last week and after the first match I went silver 3 and by last thursday hit silver elite and I havent really run into any obvious hacking since. Occasionally you run into the team that it feels like is all walling because they just get lucking guessing what bomb site you protect, or occasionally you get shot by someone with an awp though smoke, or that dude that makes the jumping m4 1 tap headshot. I'm sure maybe some of that was still hacking, but a lot better disguised, and I think a lot is just luck.

I just logged onto steam and it looks like there's a new patch, so hopefully all is fixed.

 

Just ranked up to Gold Nova 2! I still feel like a super silver though.

I got screwed by the patch last night as well. My bro got DCed, then couldn't reconnect due to the patch that was forced down his throat. We had to surrender.

The only case of blatant hacking I've seen was when a random teammate during MM got vac-banned mid-round. We lost after that.

With the latest patch, microphone in the lobby is broken. Seriously Gaben?

 

I always use some sort of VOIP service, currently TeamSpeak. So I guess that is why I haven't noticed the broken lobby mic.

 

At least the new patch fixed everything else. Still havent dropped the M4 back down to its old price though. Might as well spend the extra couple hundred for the aug.
