Anybody else get a little bored? Great race, and from where I was, zero lag, which was very nice.
We need some kind of handicap, is there nothing in the game setup to allow this? By the end we all had a steady 2000ft between all of us.

I'm ******* up your pretty paint job next time buddy.
What about giving 10 or 20 point penalties to each successive place?
1st-30
2nd-20
3rd-10
Hustler-100
How they take the points away is up to them, as long as they're only removing parts. AKA, can't use street tires for -40, and then add turbo for +20. Then after 2 rounds of finishing below 3rd, a penalty can be taken off. Might be hard to keep track of.
I more or less trust people to be on the honor system around here. If the win with a cheater car, it's just another penalty.

Hrmm that seems like a neat idea curly. The only downside to it that I can see of would be if you got a new guy coming into the race and doesn't like getting pwned by the slower guy down the straight, lol.

Adding and substracting mods is also depending on the car. We may not have aero on one tune or we may already have a turbo, etc.
I like the idea of adding smaller things like +10-20 hp to the slower field and adding weight to the faster field. Wheel weight may not be enough to make a difference. Guess we could figure it out for each car.
We could have a delay of start time, almost like bracket racing! I'm not sure if you can do this in the game settings, but we could do it manually, based off qualifying times

But with no prize money, and no other "I must win!" incentive, might as well have some fun. Good passes, 3 wide in a braking zone, bump drafting, the like.
I agree it's very hard to implement. Only thing I could think of to make it "easy" is some kind of de-tuned car for wheel users. They consistently our top threeish.

Supposedly the e30 race was fairly laggy, and the civic race was laggy in the first lap, with civics jumping all over the place, but seemed to go away for the race. I was surprised to see nothing this time.

I don't use the wheel! Curly have to tried using the clutch? You can swtich the clutch button to the A button, so you just hit it the same time you upshift or downshift. It'll cut off some time, I promise .
