PS3 or XBOX 360?
Instead of starting a new thread I will just bump this up in case anyone is interested.
Unreal Tournament 3 demo is out today. Plays good on my laptop but my home system choked (old work pc). I am building a system next week when the parts all arrive with q6600 and 8800gtx that will definitely play it.

360 has more good games out right now than the PS3.
Down the road, PS3's got GT5 coming, but 360's got Forza 2 already (not to mention Halo 3 and others)...plus Mass Effect is coming to 360.
PS3 can run a separation bootable partition with Linux, though, which means it'll be able to run the new Linux builds of Xbox Media Center (I know, they need to come up with a new name for it if it's going to be cross-platform).

Sold my 4 Xbox 1's a few days ago for $1100. Bought XBox 360 #3 yesterday for $255 and XBox 360 #4 yesterday (a few hours later) for $80. It has something wrong with the DVD player. Since a new one is only $50 at most I'll have $130 in it. Not too shabby. I should be up and running for 4-way Halo 3 (system link with each person having their own monitor) or GRAW2 in a few days.
half-life is coming out on the ps3? (1,2, episode 1,2???_) i saw that it came out on xbox, but whats the point of playing it with worse graphics? I'm hopin to get the orange box soon, but all i want for christmas is Half-Life 1 (or Goldeneye 64) with revamped graphics but exactly same game

it really depends on the disc and the mastering. people bitched like nuts when fifth element came out on bluray because it was worse than the original dvd.
