01+ air bag light flashes 6 times

01+ air bag light flashes 6 times
haven't hit anything, just start the car after getting gas and the air bag light is flashing 6 times then turning of for a few secs then coming back on of 6 flashes. air bags are still installed and have the oem sheering wheel.
so WTF?
