1.8 pump in 1.6
will a 94-97 fuel pump assembly drop into a 90-93? I have my new 190hp with 94-97 kit. Putting it into my 93, but i was thinking instead of doing the modifications to make it work on the 1.6 assembly, just pick up a used 1.8 assembly so i can just swap em and keep my 1.6 setup.

good to know, i'll only bother if i can find one cheap plus there's nothing wrong with it and since i'll be doing it in my garage the faster i can do the swap the better so my house doesn't stink like gas. i'd like to get it done before i bring the car out from winter hibernation

2 gallons bigger I think
anyway, putting a new pump into the 1.6 assembly is not hard at all. toughest part will be getting the phillips screw out of the bottom bracket. i don't think it's possible without an impact driver.
one of those trim clip tools will help get the carpet clips off without breaking them. i used a screwdriver and pliers and broke a couple
