Default 10$ coolant re-route* (*when smoking crack)

This guy flipped his water necks from front to back for a coolant reroute... this could be a sweet way to save some money..
What do you guys think?

Go ahead and do it and let us know how it went. Tell us what you learn.

yeah, for those of us without old vacuum cleaners it'll cost us more than (2) hours of a day shift at mcdonalds.

but yeah, good job reinventing the wheel :P

It's not the OP's video lol. I'm sure one could use intercooler piping or something instead of a vacuum cleaner hose. hahaha.

I definitely came across this video a while ago. If the temp changes the guy is describing are actually not too far off from reality (i.e. tests done in similar ambient tests), then it looks like it isn't too shitty of a solution if it doesn't bypass everything.

i dont see any problem with it other than the fact you'll still spend money on

everything you needed normally - spacer + heater core source pipe/hose = ~same cost

Basically this. Except for the fact you are still stuck with the damn crappy water neck still up front.

We did a spacerless set up on my friend's car with a 1.6. Front water outlet on rear, front water neck delete. Swap the sensors around, extended the wires, feed the turbo off the cursed water plug spot. No heater core in that car though. Also did the GM truck hose. Total cost was $50 or so.
