I just looped the lines on my ps rack and i love it. Not too hard to steer and much more feedback.

Just a heads-up for anyone looking to delete PS but keep the AC:
ebay #280212669314
I think Rosenthal Mazda sells these new for ~$99.
edit: This isn't my ebay auction, but I did buy one from this seller for really cheap.

I had no p/s, but removed it, and bought a powered setup. The effort was so much that the previous owner destroyed the steering wheel - separated the cover from the core.
After removing the unpowered rack, I'm debating whether to put it back, or depower the new unit. I think the steering effort may have been too high due to a bad alignment, as the car didn't want to stay on track very well. It wanders when centered.
Should I just loop the lines, get it aligned and try it that way? I'd hate to depower the rack, only to find out I prefer it the other way and have no way to restore it.
