Default 323 gtx 1.8l swap/starter question

After a bit of searching i am yet still not able to really find much info on the 323 gtx swap. I remember reading here that someone else had done the swap before but still cant seam to find it.

My question is, does a standard 1.8 starter and bracket just bolt up to the block?

Here is a shot of a 1.6 starter ( dunno if there is a difference) to a 1.6 block.

And here is a picture of that same starter and bracket attached to the back of it in place on the gtx motor

How the **** does it work? Do i need a 1.8 bracket? Are they even the same? Are the two bolts that hold the starter down with the tranny good enough? Is this something i need to fabricate? What have others done here?
Thanks everyone

2 bolts that hold it to tranny should be enough

+1 the 2 bolts should be fine. You also can't use the bracket when you change to a 6 speed box.

What would that bracket have to do with the gearbox?
