Default 94 1.8 Turbo not starting

I have a 94 1.8 powered MX-5 Westfield which has recently been turbo'd by me and been properly tuned. Its been driving fine until last night after a few minutes of driving it stop accelerating and started losing power until I had to downshift to 2nd for a corner and it died completely and wouldn't restart. Had the AA out who tested it had spark on all spark plugs and we could hear the fuel pump priming and fuel relay clicking. The car would sound OK on the starter but wouldn't even try to fire, even when spraying starting fluid into the air filter (although not sure if that works as well going though the turbo and intercooler?

The only thing the AA though was odd was the spark plugs were bone dry, he would have thought they would be wet with all the fuel.

Now I am home this morning I swapped the fuel pressure regulator which easily proved the fuel rail was getting fuel. I've had the rocker cover off and checked the timing marks and both cams are still in time.

I run a MegaSquirt 3 and had noticed that the silicone hose from the turbo to the boost controller had split so its possible the wastegate would have been closed and I hit overboost protection but that should reset itself? The data logs don't show the engine near to the 220kpa boost limit, max of around 170kpa from the logs before it died.

Any suggestions?
