Ion sensing has been around for a while. Nice to hear it is available in the ND for later turbo purposes.

Never heard of knock detection with ion sensing. It only works when there's a voltage differential on the spark plug. GM mostly uses it with wasted spark ignitions to figure out which cylinder is on the compression stroke to use it as a cam sensor.

Align and corner weight. 2285 with about 7 gallons of fuel and 17x9s with 235/40/17 Maxxis RC1 without driver.

That muffler is huge. It also looks like it is heavy. Any plans to change it?

There is no way it is heavy because Mazda used the gram strategy to remove all the unused grams from the car. Also, any attempts to remove weight from the car will unbalance it.

A muffler will still always be heavier than a straight pipe.

And if you remove weight from both ends of the car equally the balance will stay the same.

That car looks amazing.

Yes! Now that looks more like a SuperMiata muffler. What is the weight difference?

A driver with 'special" skills can make any setup fade.
