Anybody convert their 99-00 to the newer style headlights? If so, how different are the plugs and bolt assemblys? Does anybody have 01-04 headlights and harness pigtails for sale?

 

a friend did this with a 99 he bought that had front end damage. You will need the 01+ bumper and fenders though.

 

Don't you need the 01 hood as well?

 

No, hood is the same as are the fenders. All you "need" is the bumper. Hell, if you can get creative, you don't even need the bumper (but be ready to do some squeezing/pushing/******* with the bumper).

As for the wiring, the blinker will be straight forward. To go from the H4/dual filament wiring (3 wires) to the seperate high and low you'll need to get a wiring harness

I had the guys at Mazmart make me one with all of the right connectors on the bulbs.

 

And now you have HIDs right?

 

Well, my headlight conversion consisted of buying a whole new car so i wouldn't have to mess with wiring


There is no reason HIDs can't be used on a 99-to-01+ conversion.
