Default AEM UEGO high pitch noise

Just installed the UEGO today and when I connect power to the gauge I get a really high pitched sound that starts off a little quiet and gets progressively louder for about 5 seconds then stays loud. Sound seems to be coming from under the steering wheel column but its really hard to tell because its so high pitched. It's installed in the vent hole. Ground is around a bolt holding the big rubber sift boot. I tried various places for the 12v including the main wires on the ignition harness.

Where do you guys have it wired up, and is this sound normal?

Clean all the paint from the ground point and make sure the eyelet on the ground wire is under the rubber boot.

high pitch squeal is commonly a leaking capacitor.

Well it turns out the sound is coming from my speakers. With the accessory circuit off (stereo and amp off) I get the sound from only 1 speaker. With the stereo and amp off it gets louder and from all speakers. So far I've messed around with the gauge ground a lot, even directly on the battery and no luck. The amp is already grounded directly to the battery so I'll try moving the stereo ground.
