Default AIT sensor overheats and reads 0, WTF????

My AIT sensor hung at 70 degrees on the way home today. I tried to rewrite the sensor calibration and it then read zero with the occasional flicker to a random number around 30 degrees. I check the connection where it runs into the old MAF sensor connector and appears fine.

Does this sound like a bad sensor? bad msq? wiring issue?

i still need to check the wiring going into the sensor.

updated to the latest tunerstudio beta and the problem disappeared. Maybe that is what I get for always running the beta versions

Sensor issue again after computer battery died. Tunerstudio comes back on after i plug it in, and AIT reading is zero and flickering. Reinstalled tunerstudio, and no change. I'm wondering if it froze before the crash and the sensor is overheating and crapping out.

Turns out the sensor overheats if I sit too long and idle. What's that all about. I have it mounted on the exit side of the IC. Is this just a bad sensor? Anyone ever have this happen? If I wait for the car to cool, all is bueno again.

Sounds like a bad sensor, or a flakey connection.

I've seen extended temps of over 140 degC (that's not a typo). and the sensor still reads fine

I'll order a new one. If it still happens, then I'll know it's the connection. Thanks
