Default Any trouble passing smog in NY with a turbo?

Well, in the spring I'd like to turbo my 1994. I'm trying to start educating myself now in preparation. Living in Westchester county just outside NYC we have smog tests similar to California. I was wondering if any NY owners had input on passing a smog test. I understand with a well tuned kit passing the tailpipe test should not be an issue. I'm more concerned if an under the hood check will be an immediate fail for having a turbo on a car not originally equipped with one. Do we need a CARB sticker here? Thanks
